Classic reworking is carried out when products are defective. However, this is not always the case. Reworking can have various reasons.
Sometimes, for small production runs, the acquisition costs of tools are not in proportion to the project budget. Often, complicated and costly tools can be avoided through geometry-forming inserts. In doing so, for example, flash or other errors are deliberately accepted and removed afterward.
For certain geometries and sizes, a film gate is also required. This must also be mechanically separated from the product afterward.

Which rework does KTR take on?

Is rework only necessary for defective parts?
No. For small series, simpler tool solutions with subsequent rework can be deliberately chosen if the purchase of elaborate tools does not fit the project budget.
